ADAVB Promotes Oral Health Awareness at the October 2025 PBC Expo

The ADAVB Oral Health Committee proudly hosted a stand at the 2025 Pregnancy, Babies & Children’s (PBC) Expo in Melbourne on October 18–19, engaging with parents and parents-to-be about the importance of oral health during pregnancy and early childhood.

The Expo provided an excellent opportunity for ADAVB to connect with Victorians at a key stage of life, when families are at greater risk of oral and dental disease. Throughout the event, our volunteers offered free oral health guidance and answered a wide range of questions from visitors. There was strong interest in topics such as the ideal age for children’s first dental visit, choosing suitable toothpaste and toothbrushes, and maintaining good oral hygiene from an early age.

The ADAVB stand featured a popular range of giveaways, including children’s and adult toothbrushes, toothpastes, and ADAVB-branded items such as the Oral Health Milestone magnet. The children’s book Who is the Tooth Fairy’s Best Friend? by Cathryn Carboon was also a crowd favourite. Visitors were encouraged to take home ADA fact sheets and educational resources to support healthy oral care habits for the whole family.

A heartfelt thank-you goes to our wonderful volunteers who generously gave their time and expertise: Ammu Ruby, Yueyang Zhou, Siew May Loo, Jaclyn Ansic, Purva Gandhi, Yana Istkovich, Daniel Maryanovsky, Jaweria Riaz.
