March was an active and impactful month for members!

It was fabulous to see members enjoying the Annual Tennis Day at Kooyong Tennis Club that was generously sponsored by BOQ Specialist on March 13. This was a fully booked out event with 6 skill levels of participation from beginner to professional. Prizes were given for each category.

Members also enjoyed another Golf Day on Monday March 30 at The Metropolitan Golf Club, which saw a great turn out and healthy competition on the greens. The occasion offers a great opportunity to connect with fellow members and enjoy a day out among the picturesque surroundings of the course.

Internally, our Interim CEO A/Prof Hewson has worked hard to finalise selection of a new digital member platform, which we hope to roll out this year. The team also congratulates Peter Logan on his retirement after almost 3 years of upgrading the Branch's digital systems.

On 20 March, we collaborated with the Victorian Oral Health Alliance to celebrate World Oral Health Day (WOHD) at the Victorian Parliament House with the Victorian Health Minister, Hon. Mary-Anne Thomas. The theme for WOHD 2026, “A Happy Mouth… is a Happy Life,” reinforces the vital role that oral health plays in overall wellbeing at every stage of life.

Coming Up:

I look forward to working closely with my counterparts in other states at the upcoming ADA Advisory Council meeting in April.

We are excited for the return of the ADAVB stand at the upcoming Pregnancy, Babies & Children's Expo at the Melbourne Convention Centre on Saturday 18 and Sunday 19 April 2026. Our team of enthusiastic volunteers use this platform to connect with Victorians at a key stage of life and teach about the importance of healthy dental habits for infants, children and pregnant women alike.

A diverse selection of CPD courses will be taking place over the coming months, designed to support your growth, strengthen your skills, and improve patient outcomes. Explore our full CPD Calendar for a wide range of topics to suit your needs.

Thanks for staying connected - I hope to catch up with you soon!
